Honey Haloumi

This is a simple dish that contains a handful of easy-to-find ingredients, is quick to prepare and tastes utterly delicious. What’s not to like?! 

Serves: Serves 4 as a side/starter 

Prep Time: 10 minutes 

Cook Time: 10 minutes 

 

INGREDIENTS  

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 x 250g packet haloumi, sliced
  • Egmont Honey
  • 4 or 5 thin slices from ½ red onion
  • Handful basil leaves 

METHOD 

  1. Heat the olive oil in a heavy-bottomed frying pan over a medium-high heat.
  2. Add in the slices of haloumi and fry for 3 or 4 minutes per side or until golden brown.
  3. Remove from the pan and arrange on a serving plate.
  4. Generously drizzle with Egmont honey then scatter over the red onion and the basil leaves and serve.
